The nature reserve "Wiesen am Hirtenborn" covers 253 hectares and includes parts of the municipalities of Oberdiebach, Manubach, Oberheimbach and Weiler bei Bingen. In the Oberdiebach district, the meadows are located on the southwestern boundary of the municipality.
The designation as a nature reserve serves to preserve and develop a large-scale, near-natural open land area with adjacent forest stands. Unique orchid stands can be found on the unfertilized, extensive meadow areas.
